About Tim Karney
I have over 25 years of experience in public sector marketing.
I was on the launch team of Federal Computer Week. I served as Publisher of Washington Technology before my partners and I sold it to The Washington Post. I then served as a Group Publisher with Post-Newsweek Business Intelligence.
I spent over 12 years in the state & local market with Government Technology where I launched Emergency Management magazine.
At these publications I moderated both on-the-record, and off-the record roundtables with government CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, program managers, and other key buying influences where they shared their concerns, strategies and the business case justifications they need to approve any project.
My domain expertise includes marketing and selling to the federal civilian, military, and intelligence segments, state & local government, education, healthcare, and all hazards emergency management.
My primary activities are content development, copywriting and consulting.
Recently I have written use cases, capabilities statements, web content, brochures and other projects for Amazon Web Services, Splunk, HP, Lumen, ScienceLogic, and many more.
